The Wisdom of Spirit

The problem is that the multiple authors and multiple centuries that went into the Bible, make it an extremely disjointed book. People are able to use parts of it to refute other parts of it.

I believe that Christians ignore the dietary restrictions because of the dream of Peter, Acts 10:9-16

9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

This leads many to believe that God gave people permission to eat anything.

However, in Isiah 66:15

17“Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things—they will meet their end together with the one they follow,” declares the Lord.

and in Matthew 5:17-19

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I believe that anyone who calls them Christian, should place the words of Christ above the word of any human, even a disciple. Therefore, Christians who eat pork, which is a restriction for Jews, are not, in fact, following the teachings of Jesus.

Like I said...believe. God may tell me different when I enter the light, but until then I have only the words of the various prophets, (even those who claim to be mere scribes) to guide me.

So God has made clean those of Peters Church that ate such things? That the cost of winning these souls are setback in dietary rules?

I prefer to follow what is consistent throughout ages on what God is telling us, I think dietary instructions are pretty consistent in Bible and Quran. This dream of Peter had immediate resolution in accepting non-Jews into the yahad (ecclessia), it was about clean/unclean people, not foods, in my opinion.

The Book of AhYeh is reasserting what was already revealed in past. Anyone can choose to obey or disobey, risking consequences. It is better to be obedient.
