Apotheosis (from Ancient Greek ἀποθέωσις (apothéōsis), from ἀποθεόω/ἀποθεῶ (apotheóō/apotheô) 'to deify'), also called divinization or deification (from Latin deificatio 'making divine'), is the glorification of a subject to divine levels and, commonly, the treatment of a human being, any other living thing, or an abstract idea in the likeness of a deity.

Matthew 20:16

„

So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.

„

When the phrase “last shall be first and the first last” occurs in scripture, it refers to idea that one’s position in this life does not give a person an advantage in gaining eternal life or salvation. It does not matter who we are in this world or what we have done - eternal life is available for those who believe in Him, who are repentant of their sins and commit themselves to Him.

However, scripture also indicates another meaning of this phrase, related to apotheosis of the chosen ones. Those who are now strugling with terrible difficulties of this lower, material, fleshy world, will have opportunity to ascend to a place much higher than they can even imagine or comprehend now. If they just endure and conquer their sins and acquire true gnosis, they will be glorified to a state higher than those who never experienced eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Quran, 13:23–24

„

Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring. Angels shall enter from every gate (with the salutation): “Peace be with you, that you persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!”

Amēn, amēn, I say unto you: Ye shall be the first in the kingdom of heaven before all invisibles and all gods and rulers who are in the thirteenth æon and in the twelfth æon; and not only ye, but also every one who shall accomplish my mysteries."

And when he had said this, he said unto them: "Understand ye in what manner I discourse with you?"

Mary started forward again and said: "Yea, O Lord, this is what thou didst say unto us aforetime: 'The last shall be first and the first shall be last.' The first then, who were created before us, are the invisibles, for indeed they arose before mankind, they and the gods and the rulers; and the men who shall receive mysteries, will be first into the kingdom of heaven.

This world seems to be a tough school, prison for divine pedagogy and re-education, a terrible soul refinery. Those who pass the test will become greater than those who have never suffered pain and anxiety of this hellish world. The are elligible to be called sons and daughters of The Most High.

With that in mind, let us put all our hopes and faith in the name of AhYeh, I AM, and be grateful for promise of life eternal, in places above our wildest imaginations.

Revelation 3:12

CONCLUSION

I was asking myself many times, what is this world, this hellish place, what is it all about? Could it be that in His divine providence and forethought, God put that tempting Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil purposefully? Because he knew Adam will eat? Because he wanted Adam to eat?

Could it be that all this suffering is just an incredible, epic test? The test worthy of the incredible strugle? The test worthy of eternal bliss, for the winners?
