Recently I was told a peculiar story by a man who was told that story by another man, who allegedly experienced this event with his friend.
Two of them were travelling by a van to Switzerland to deliver some stuff. During the night they became desoriented and lost, GPS becoming crazy and of no use. They had to stop for a long time in front of a rail crossing, waiting for a long passangers train to pass by. It was a very long train with lights switched on in all vagons, but with no people inside. They were wondering a lot about that strange train. When they eventually passed the rail crossing, they found themselves in a desolate small town with nobody outside. For a long time they were wondering around trying to find exit. At the end they appeared at the same rail crossing again. And again, a long strange passanger train was passing by, with nobody inside it...when eventually the train passed away, waiting for the ramp to go up, they noticed that on the opposite side of the railway crossing there is a very similar van - same type, same color, two guys inside. This make them joking about it. While passing the rail crossing, the driver looked into the other van, and with shock and terror realized that two of them are inside that other van driving in opposite direction!
To make the story short, they were terrified and shocked...when they finally reached their destination, their clocks and time spent did not match account of people waiting for them.
Later they learned that they were nearby CERN, in period when some experiments were being conducted.
Now, there is no way for me to confirm validity of this story, but I find it amusing. š
