The Value of a Good Knife

Original post by James Meadows

Discussion with a student:

Your empathic connections are both a strength, and also harmful to you... Everyone is connected, really, as if by web-lines of psychic-spiritual energy. Imagine silvery-crystalline strands, like strands of a spider web, running here and there, from one person to another, indeed, connecting all living things.

Now, not everyone is connected directly to everyone, but by means of the neuro-like network of consciousness, we are all interconnected even if by a circuitous route. You are directly connected to those you love and know, and the more you know them, the more connected you become. If you are empathic, it's far stronger and affects you more..

Find a knife, a pretty knife, a dagger is best (double edged, representing justice), silver is best (like a silver letter opener), but almost any knife will do.

Bless the dagger with focused prayer, and inscribe (imagine that you write with a pen of light) the item; dream that you write on the one side of the blade the word, "El Shaddai" (God Almighty). On the side of the blade, "Yahweh Sabbaoth," (Lord of Hosts). ELL SHADD- DIE... YAW-WAY- SAB-BYE-OATH. On the handle, on one side of the handle, put the name, "Tzaphkiel," and on the other side of the handle, place the name, "Sarakiel." Some would say, using the name "Samael" is perhaps better, but in our system Sarakiel occupies that role.

Anyway, imagine/daydream that the knife is full of the power/light/energy of God, and these archangels, imagine that it glows with divine might. Use incense smoke to seal it all in, and send love from your heart (as if your heart is made from light) into the blade.

Love is the Divine.

Now you have a spiritual weapon that can stab/slash unseen creatures (affect their astral/etheric forms), but more than this, a blade that can cut the lines that bind... If you are being sucked dry by a negative soul, a black pit, you need to cut the tie that binds... cut away the direct connection to that person.

There are uglier umbilical like connections, seen only in the lower planes, that connect you to anyone you ever had sexual relations with, and you need to cut those away.. Those type of connections should only be between you and your spouse in the Lord, and until severed connects you to the person you have had relations with, so that you are as one flesh, and share in their sins, as they share in yours, your guilt and lives are intertwined even if remotely and at an unconscious level.

When you've severed the ties, you can then bathe, with prayer, imagining and dreaming that the remnants (debris) of the web-lines are melted away and fall from you as so much soot.

Now, if you want to keep those connections, that's fine, then imagine you are light, and you tie a knot in the the line that connects you to another person, so that it cuts down on (restricts or limits) the flow of negativity from negative people that you love.

Interconnectivity can cause sickness (despair, anxiety, sharing karmic debt that's not from you) for everyone involved in the connection, because you are sharing all your problems with each other. In close bonds of friendship and family the sharing of positive and negative influences and traits (energies) is rather pooled, collective, and there are also past life issues carried over from previous incarnations.. In other life times we play different roles, so that your brother may have been your husband in another life, or your sister was your mother, and your mother was your sister or wife... Indeed, we live as male and female in different lives, each has its lessons to teach.

It is important to regularly cleanse yourself as with liquid light when you shower, and with imagining illuminated incense smoke when you smudge, the light of holiness, divinity, goodness itself if you will, saturating your body, and as importantly, the layers of your auric field.
